Trinidad

14 February 2015 - Trinidad, Cuba.
This almost perfectly preserved Spanish colonial city was declared World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1988. The best way to see Trinidad is to stroll through the cobbled streets and admire the colourful buildings and rich Spanish colonial architecture. The last two pictures show the Valle de los Ingenios were huge sugar plantations developed in the 18th century. The pictures were taken from a 45m high tower, probably used to check on the slaves who worked on the plantations.
